City Railway (Stadtbahn):

Complete closure between Tiergarten and Friedrichstraße.

• S3 and S9: Operate every 20 minutes between Spandau and Tiergarten.
• Additional trains: Between Olympiastadion and Charlottenburg, additional trains will run every 10 minutes at the following times:
  • 09:30 – 12:00
  • 16:00 – 18:30
• Messe Süd Station: Will therefore be served every 10 minutes, or every 5 minutes with the additional trains.

Ring Railway (Ringbahn):

• The normal timetable applies here   
  • S41 and S42: Run every 5 minutes, or every 5/5/10 minutes between 11:00 and 13:00.
  • S46: Operates every 20 minutes between Westend and Südring.
• No additional services are planned.

 

7 + 8 September 2024 (Saturday + Sunday)

City Railway (Stadtbahn):

Complete closure between Tiergarten and Friedrichstraße.

• S3 and S9: Operate every 20 minutes between Spandau and Tiergarten.
• Additional trains: Between Olympiastadion and Charlottenburg, additional trains will run every 10 minutes at the following times:
  • 11:00 – 15:00
  • 16:30 – 18:30
• Messe Süd Station: Will therefore be served every 10 minutes, or every 5 minutes with the additional trains.

Ring Railway (Ringbahn):

• S41 + S42: Run to the regular timetable (every 10 minutes until 12:00, and every 5/5/10 minutes from 12:00).
• S46: Operates as usual every 20 minutes, but with 8-car trains (instead of 6 cars) and will be extended from/to Gesundbrunnen instead of terminating/starting at Westend.
• Messe Nord Station: Will be served every 5 minutes in each direction (with a total of 24 trains per hour at Messe Nord, approximately every 2.5 minutes).

 

9 + 10 September 2024 (Monday + Tuesday)

City Railway (Stadtbahn):

No construction works on the City Railway.

• S3 and S9: Operate every 20 minutes as usual.
• S5: Will be extended to/from Olympiastadion every 10 minutes between approximately 08:30 and 19:15.
• Olympiastadion <> City Centre: Trains will run every 5 minutes overall.

Ring Railway (Ringbahn):

• The normal timetable applies here
  • S41 and S42: Run every 5 minutes, or every 5/5/10 minutes between 11:00 and 13:00.
  • S46: Operates every 20 minutes between Westend and Südring.
• No additional services are planned.

29 August - 13 September, 2024: Messedamm - Masurenallee / Neue Kantstraße intersection

Some preparations need to be made for the reconstruction of the motorway triangle.
For this purpose, there will be a construction site with several construction phases in the Messedamm - Masurenallee / Neue Kantstraße intersection from 29 August to 13 September.

Each construction phase is expected to last 1.5 weeks.

The current plan with the various construction phases and the associated traffic disruptions can be found in the appendix.

 

22 July, 2024 - 28 August, 2024: Construction site on the A100

Traffic restrictions for construction phase 1
22 July, 2024 to 28 July, 2024

For traffic management during construction phase 1, traffic will be directed to the left two main lanes. The right lane will be closed.

The entrance AS Spandauer Damm and the exit AS Kaiserdamm (Knobelsdorffstr.) will be completely closed. Diversion will take place via Königin-Elisabeth-Straße.

Only two instead of three lanes are available for traffic on the A100 heading south - Leipzig/Dresden.

Traffic restrictions for construction phase 2
28 July, 2024 to 5 August, 2024

For traffic management during construction phase 2, traffic will be directed to the left two main lanes. The right lane will be closed.
The entrance AS Kaiserdamm (Knobelsdorffstr.), the exit AS Kaiserdamm/Messegelände and the entrance AS Kaiserdamm/Messegelände will be completely closed. Diversion will take place via Königin-Elisabeth-Straße and Messedamm.

Only two instead of three lanes are available for traffic on the A100 heading south - Leipzig/Dresden.

5 August, 2024 to 19 August, 2024

For the traffic management of construction phase 3, traffic will be directed on the left main lane. The middle and right lanes will be closed.
The entrance AS Spandauer Damm, the entrance and exit AS Kaiserdamm (Knobelsdorffstr.) and the entrance and exit AS 8 Kaiserdamm/Messegelände will be completely closed.

Diversion takes place via Königin-Elisabeth-Straße and Messedamm.

Only one lane instead of three is available for traffic on the A100 heading south - Leipzig/Dresden.

Traffic restrictions for construction phase 4
19 August, 2024 to 28 August, 2024

For the traffic management of construction phase 4, traffic will be directed on the right main lane. The middle and left lanes will be closed.
The Spandauer Damm junction entrance, the Kaiserdamm junction entrance (Knobelsdorffstr.) and the Kaiserdamm/Messegelände junction entrance will be completely closed.

Diversions will take place via Königin-Elisabeth-Straße and Messedamm.

Traffic will only have one lane instead of three on the A100 heading south - Leipzig/Dresden.
