Leica Cine 1 brings the cinema experience into the home

Offering high image quality and incorporating state-of-the-art laser technology, this cinematic masterpiece combines Leica's optical expertise with outstanding engineering. The Leica Cine 1 brings the company's image quality to home cinema, creating an immersive atmosphere with the help of the exceptional Dolby Atmos surround system.

Recognised with the prestigious iF Design Award 2023, this cinema TV ensures convenience through intuitive operation and maximum connectivity.

From June 7, customers in Europe can purchase the Leica Cine 1 from selected Leica Stores and authorised specialist TV, hi-fi equipment, and home cinema dealers. Available in screen sizes of 100 or 120 inches, with an 80-inch option exclusive to Europe, except the UK, the Leica Cine 1 offers flexibility to suit various viewing preferences.

With the aim of setting new standards in the world of cinema TVs, the Leica Cine 1 hopes to surpass expectations with its innovative triple RGB laser technology which is designed to deliver incredibly bright images and colour rendition.

The laser technology also boasts a service life of over 25,000 hours. With its sophisticated Summicron lens featuring aspherical elements manufactured to Leica standards, the Cine 1 is said to ensure consistent high imaging performance, perfectly matched to the image size. Leveraging Leica's expertise in digital image optimisation, the Cine 1 incorporates Leica Image Optimisation which aims to enhance the image with special algorithms to achieve natural colour reproduction, rich colour gradation, and an "exceptional" contrast ratio.

Emphasising connectivity, the Leica Cine 1 includes a range of features found in smart TVs, including an intuitive interface with voice control, an integrated triple tuner, Apple AirPlay, and direct access to streaming platforms. Whether enjoying movies, TV shows, gaming, or managing personal movie collections, the Leica cinema TV combines connectivity with the audio experience of Dolby Atmos surround system and Dolby Vision. Meanwhile the Filmmaker Mode offers an unfiltered, authentic cinematic experience when watching films.

Not only does the Leica Cine 1 offer technical prowess, but also energy efficiency - claiming to use significantly less energy than a comparable OLED TV.

Its product design has also been recognised with the iF Design Award 2023. Following the purist Leica design philosophy, the Cine 1 is said to exhibit clean lines, sophisticated functions, and masterful craftsmanship. From the durable Aluminum housing and automatic dust cover to the perforated loudspeaker cover and the integrated iconic red dot, every detail reflects precision and elegance. With its ultra-short-throw lens, the Cine 1 aims to be suitable for seamlessly integrating into living spaces, exuding a classic style that blends with its surroundings.

To achieve optimal projection, Leica recommends using high-contrast ALR screens which are precisely tailored to the Leica Cine 1 and mounted on the wall. The ALR function ensures minimal distraction from ambient light, directing the projected light towards the viewer for a more immersive film-watching experience. In addition, the Leica Cine 1 comes with a three-year manufacturer's guarantee, and all service-related matters, from replacement to repair, are centrally managed by Leica Customer Service at the Wetzlar site.
