Newly elected gfu board members take their positions for 2023. Who are they?
The shareholders of gfu Consumer & Home Electronics GmbH, organiser of IFA, have elected a new supervisory board including representatives from BSH, Miele and Panasonic.
IFA organiser gfu has announced the latest executives to join the ranks of its supervisory board from January 2023. The unanimously elected board members include Harald Friedrich, from BSH Hausgeräte, Frank Jüttner, from Miele, and Philipp Maurer, of Panasonic Germany, who will also take on the role of chairman of the supervisory board.
“As part of the regular gfu supervisory board elections, three experienced and excellently networked managers from the consumer electronics and home appliances sectors were elected to the board,” comments Dr Sara Warneke, managing director of gfu.
“I look forward to working with the new supervisory board and thank you for your willingness to do this honorary post at gfu.”

Dr Warneke also gave thanks to the supervisory board’s former chairman Volker Klodwig and his excellent contribution during his time in service.
“His tireless support made a significant contribution to the fact that we were able to negotiate the new contract for organising the IFA in Berlin and ultimately sign it on November 18, 2022,” she explains.
Founded in 1973 as a company promoting consumer electronics in Germany, gfu is the organiser of IFA, and its shareholders are now leading brands in the consumer electronics and home appliances sectors. Its aims is to organise trade fairs and provide information about trends and developments in the industry. Studies are regularly commissioned and published by the organisation along with market research and company announcements.
