After a day of use, the battery is reported to retain over 50% of its capacity. The smartphone also supports wireless charging, fast charging, and has Optimised Charging Technology. For gaming, the Xperia 5 V includes a Game Enhancer feature and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 Mobile platform.

Design and eco-friendly choices

The Xperia 5 V's design features a matte finish and is available in three colors: black, silver, and blue. The packaging of the device uses a combination of bamboo, sugar cane fiber, and recycled paper, eliminating the use of plastic. Some parts of the device and its dedicated case use SORPLAS, a recycled plastic developed by Sony. The case for the Xperia 5 V can also be used as a stand, available in matching colors.
