Yi (Alex) Yang is our co-founder and currently serves as a director and our chief operation officer. Mr. Yang has played a pivotal role in Tuya’s growth since its startup, funding and investor relations, and strategic direction. Mr. Yang also brings extensive experience in operational leadership, including expertise relating to both business and financial management. Prior to co-founding the Company, Mr. Yang worked as a senior expert at Alibaba Group from April 2011 to May 2015, where he was responsible for developing and operating business opportunities for multiple projects including mobile payment at Alibaba’s O2O business and Alibaba Cloud. Mr. Yang received a bachelor’s degree in international business and economics from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in the PRC in July 2004.
