The donation-funded and non-profit Cradle to Cradle NGO brings the Cradle to Cradle (C2C) circular principle to the wider public through educational formats, connects business, science, education, politics, and civil society, and implements pioneering transformation projects that show how much C2C is already possible today. Around 1,000 active volunteers in the German-speaking region carry the approach out into the world. The International Cradle to Cradle Congress, taking place for the tenth time on September 17 and 18, 2026 (TU Berlin), is the world’s first and largest C2C platform: Over 1,000 participants gather here to meet key figures from science, business, and politics. In 2019, the C2C LAB was established in Berlin and expanded from 2025 onwards to 500 square meters, including a Community Hub: the world’s first comprehensive renovation of an existing commercial unit according to C2C criteria. In 2022 and 2024, Labor Tempelhof was implemented: six C2C-optimized major concerts by Die Ärzte and Die Toten Hosen in Berlin. Anyone who wants to commit to a positive ecological footprint can get active with us.
At IFA, a very specific focus of our work takes center stage – the Cradle to Cradle Electronics Initiative:
Solutions for circular electronics according to Cradle to Cradle have long existed – they are merely scattered. The C2C Electronics Initiative brings together what belongs together: Businesses, civil society, and science form a vibrant knowledge and practical network together with the C2CEI. This network further develops existing and new C2C approaches regarding marketability and scalability, bringing electronics products and business models with positive ecological, economic, and social impacts into practice.
Together, we are shaping the future of the electronics industry.
