Torsten Diersen

Torsten is based in Bremen and, together with Olli, has been one of the two voices behind the podcast “Plastik im Ohr” since 2021.

Music and pop culture have been part of his life for almost as long as he can remember. He has been a club DJ since 1988, with a focus on Electro, Funk and Pop. Away from the club, his musical taste goes much further, including Soul, Jazz, Rock and soundtracks. Prince, David Bowie and Bruce Springsteen are three constants that have accompanied him for decades.

When it comes to movies and TV series, Torsten is more passionate nerd than casual viewer. He has been collecting film and TV figures, with some breaks along the way, since 1980 – and much of what fascinated him back then still does today.

Audio dramas have a special place in his life, having grown up with them. This made the podcast episode with legendary audio drama producer Heikedine Körting at Studio Europa a personal highlight. Torsten also wrote an article for the German edition of Rolling Stone in which he presented a selection of particularly noteworthy EUROPA audio dramas.

Since July 2025, “Plastik im Ohr” has been cooperating with Mediahouse Berlin.
