Through the integration of material sciences, optics, and heat transfer theory, i2Cool has developed proprietary multi-component and multi-scale nanoparticle materials. These materials enable high-efficiency solar reflection and mid-infrared radiation, effectively emitting heat into outer space and significantly reducing solar heat absorption. This technology provides zero-energy cooling without requiring power sources and refrigerants. For example, the patented electricity-free cooling coating combines polymer blends with inorganic nanoparticles to achieve optimal optical and thermal properties, with solar reflectivity and mid-infrared emissivity both exceeding 95%. This breakthrough surpasses the 90% reflectivity barrier of traditional thermal insulation coatings. The application of this coating can reduce building surface temperatures by up to 42°C, lower indoor temperatures by 6 to 8°C, and save up to 40% on cooling system energy consumption.

Rooted in Hong Kong and with a strong presence in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), i2Cool leverages the region’s innovation ecosystem and industrial advantages. The company has established independent research and operations teams in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, with a production facility in Guangzhou.
