Miele Launches a New Era of Cooking

The first outdoor kitchen ‘Dreams’, the intelligent cooking system ‘M Sense’ and the world premiere of the first steam drawer

Three premieres as part of the Cooking Innovation Offensive
for connected, healthy and convenient cooking

At IFA 2025 in Berlin, Miele unveils three groundbreaking innovations that redefine the cooking experience: the modular outdoor kitchen ‘Dreams’, the intelligent cookware system ‘M Sense’, and the world premiere of the steam drawer. These premieres are part of the Cooking Innovation Offensive and mark Miele’s expansion into connected, convenient, and health-focused cooking – indoors and outdoors.

Global trends like digitalisation, sustainability and the demand for personalised solutions are reshaping everyday life. “In an increasingly complex world, our customers are looking for reliable innovations that make their day-to-day lives easier and create special moments. This is exactly what we are fulfilling with our new products at IFA,” says Dr Reinhard Zinkann, Executive Director and Co-Proprietor at Miele. “They are the focal points of our cooking innovation campaign and stand for the highest standards of quality, design, innovation and sustainability.”

Outdoor kitchen “Dreams”: Premium cooking experiences outdoors

With “Outdoor Cooking” Miele is tapping into a growing market segment. “More and more people around the world are discovering the outdoor living lifestyle. With Dreams, we are now bringing the special Miele cooking experience outdoors for the first time. This modular outdoor kitchen can be customised and combines minimalist design, intelligent technology and Miele’s premium standards. Customers can enjoy special moments and perfect results with family and friends, all with trusted Miele top quality – both indoors and outdoors. It sets a new benchmark for outdoor cooking,” says Dr Axel Kniehl, Executive Director Marketing and Sales.

The modular outdoor kitchen comprises numerous combinable modules and an extensive range of accessories with over 60 items. One highlight is the Fire Pro IQ: an intelligent gas grill that automatically regulates temperatures and grills entire recipes independently. It is controlled via the integrated display or the Miele app*. The grill also cleans itself automatically in AutoClean mode.

Smart cookware “M Sense” for Stress-Free Cooking: Nothing burns, nothing boils over

Overflowing pasta water or a burnt steak: with M Sense, such incidents are a thing of the past. The intelligent cookware features integrated touch controls and up to three temperature sensors. In combination with the new KM 8000 generation induction hobs, this creates a multi-patented system that automatically regulates cooking performance – for precise results and stress-free cooking. “M Sense marks our commitment to making cooking more enjoyable. No boiling over, no burning – just more time for what matters,” explains Dr. Markus Miele, Executive Director and Co-Proprietor at Miele.

Steam drawer: Baking, reheating, and steam cooking in one niche

Miele is presenting a world premiere at IFA with its steam drawer. At just 14 centimetres high, it adapts flexibly to everything from urban kitchens to spacious designs. Combined with a compact oven with microwave, it creates a unique 3-in-1 solution that combines baking, reheating, and steam cooking in one niche. Thanks to DualSteam technology and over 100 automatic programs, vegetables, sous-vide cooking and everyday tasks such as reheating are effortless. Convenient features like lid opening at the touch of a button, full extension and connectivity with the Miele app* round off the experience. “The new steam drawer is our response to the growing demand for multifunctional solutions for kitchens with limited space. In combination with a compact oven, it is possible to prepare entire menus in two separate cooking compartments in Miele quality,” emphasises Dr. Reinhard Zinkann.

Digitalisation, AI, and smart functions for greater convenience

Digitalisation and AI are key drivers of greater convenience and efficiency in the home. For example, the FoodView feature in the new MasterCool refrigerators allows users to see contents at any time. This makes planning easier and prevents food waste. Innovations like this are complemented by additional smart functions in the Miele app, which connects all appliances as a central element.

Sustainability you can see and experience

With the new Energy Heroes, Miele presents its most energy-efficient portfolio: washing machines exceed the best energy efficiency class A by 40 percent, dishwashers by 10 percent. The trade fair presentation also focuses on circularity: the resource-saving stand is made of reusable materials, the modular lightweight construction reduces transport and storage by 50 percent, and features only 150 appliances. “Our holistic understanding of sustainability – from energy efficiency and durability to circular solutions – is reflected in our portfolio and, this year, in a modular, reusable exhibition stand. A clear sign of our responsibility,” says Rebecca Steinhage, Executive Director Human Resources and Corporate Affairs.

Miele quality: 25-year motor warranty

Since its founding in 1899, Miele has stood for products of the highest quality and durability. Washing machines are tested for a service life of up to 20 years. As a strong promise of quality, Miele is introducing the Miele motor warranty in Germany on October 1, 2025 — a 25-year warranty on motors for washing machines and dryers. Other countries will follow.
