- Outdoor kitchen “Dreams” brings the familiar premium experience outdoors
- Modular and intelligent: Extensive range with modules, accessories, and intelligent “Fire Pro IQ” gas grill
- Available in Germany, Austria and Switzerland from spring 2026
Gütersloh/Berlin, September 3, 2025 – From grilling and cooking to organising and cooling: Miele is entering the growing market for outdoor kitchens with a new “Outdoor Cooking” product category. “Dreams” is the home appliance manufacturer's first outdoor kitchen with a variety of different modules and accessories. It has a modular design for customised kitchens from small to large. One highlight of the new series is the “Fire Pro IQ”, an intelligent gas grill that precisely regulates temperatures and automatically grills steps in the recipe. The new range will be presented for the first time at IFA 2025 in Berlin.
The oven that prepares your favourite dishes independently or the hob that reliably maintains temperatures: As a manufacturer of premium domestic appliances, Miele has embodied quality, high-quality design, simple operation, and innovative features for over 126 years. With the new “Outdoor Cooking” product category, the company is now transferring this expertise to the outdoor area: “More and more people around the world are discovering the outdoor living lifestyle,” says Dr Axel Kniehl, Executive Director Marketing and Sales. “With Dreams, we are now bringing the special Miele cooking experience outdoors for the first time. This modular outdoor kitchen can be customised and combines minimalist design, intelligent technology and Miele’s premium standards. Our customers can enjoy special moments and perfect results with family and friends, all with the trusted Miele top quality – both indoors and outdoors. It sets a new benchmark for outdoor cooking.”
Miele quality and design – now also outdoors
The entire range is made of high-quality, outdoor-proven materials that can withstand sun or rain 365 days a year. Modularity is an essential part of the design. Whether on a small balcony or a large terrace: Various modules, including several gas grills and Miele's first outdoor refrigerator, can be flexibly combined with each other for small and large outdoor kitchens. Over 60 accessories bring additional preparation methods as well as more flexibility and convenience outdoors – such as hooks and holders for modular cabinet doors that keep the grill tongs, spatula, or custom-fit cover to hand at all times. Thanks to its minimalist design, the outdoor kitchen is a highlight in any outdoor area.
Automatically achieve the perfect result with the intelligent “Fire Pro IQ” gas grill
Steak and vegetables grilled to perfection, even in rain or wind: The Fire Pro IQ makes grilling and cooking more precise than ever before. As a highlight of the new range, the intelligent gas grill brings several familiar functions of Miele indoor appliances outdoors: At the touch of a button, it heats up to the desired temperature within a few minutes and regulates the heat in its four grilling zones automatically, just like an oven. In windy conditions, to make it clear that one or more burners are lit, a special knob light indicates the status: yellow for on, white for off. For the first time, users can also control the grill remotely via the linked Miele app* or send parameters from specially developed CookAssist recipes to the grill. Thanks to the smart features, the Fire Pro IQ grills entire recipes independently – for a perfect result, with no uncertainty about temperatures and cooking times. Customers can enjoy a barbecue evening with their guests instead of having to spend it at the grill.
Expertise and experience of Otto Wilde Grillers incorporated into outdoor kitchen
Dreams is the first outdoor kitchen from Miele – however, the business segment has been part of the company for some time. Miele acquired shares in the Düsseldorf start-up Otto Wilde Grillers back in 2021 and took it over completely in 2023. This enabled the company to draw on Otto Wilde's experience in the barbecue market when developing the outdoor kitchen. “With Outdoor Cooking, we have found a new product category that suits us perfectly”, says Gernot Trettenbrein, Senior Vice President Business Unit New Growth Factory. “Dreams - the name not only embodies high quality but also illustrates the numerous possibilities for customers to realise their individual dream of an outdoor kitchen”. In conjunction with the launch and the focus on the Miele brand, Otto Wilde Grillers will cease trading at the end of 2025.
Launch in spring 2026 in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland
The Miele Fire Pro, the modules, and the extensive range of accessories will be available in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland via a broad dealer network, the Miele Experience Centres, and the Miele web shop in time for the 2026 grill season. The Miele Fire Pro IQ is expected to follow in summer 2026.

- Sensor-assisted collaboration between cookware and induction hob
- Multi-patented system regulates power automatically
- Energy consumption reduced by up to 30 per cent when cooking with a lid*
Gütersloh/Berlin, September 3, 2025 – World premiere for Miele at the IFA: The intelligent combination of “M Sense” cookware and the new KM 8000 induction hobs heralds a new era in cooking. The centrepiece is the world's first cookware with integrated touch control and up to three temperature sensors, which measures and also communicates with the hob so that it always selects the right power setting. This ensures an intuitive, safe, and convenient cooking experience.
Just a brief moment of carelessness and the pasta water boils or the steak is overcooked. Everyone is familiar with these everyday situations. The M Sense cookware and KM 8000 induction hobs have been developed to avoid precisely these moments. Equipped with up to three integrated temperature sensors, the cookware communicates directly with the new induction hobs, which then select the appropriate power setting and adjust it as required. It is operated directly on the pot or the pan (DirectTouch) via a control unit: Select the cooking program and the system regulates itself automatically. No more manual readjustment or constant monitoring – leaving more time for the essentials.
“M Sense”: Intelligent temperature management for controlled and efficient cooking
Whether boiling pasta water, gently reducing sauces, or frying delicate ingredients with pinpoint accuracy, M Sense ensures reliable results with up to four pieces of cookware at the same time. Even when cooking with the lid closed, everything remains under control. Overcooking is reliably prevented, while energy consumption can be reduced by up to 30 per cent*. The lid has been designed in such a way that the steam is dissipated in a targeted manner – for a pleasant cooking climate and optimum results. After cooking, M Sense pots and pans can simply be cleaned in the dishwasher. And the particularly long-lasting battery in the control element makes the cookware suitable for everyday use. M Sense-compatible hobs can be used flexibly and support both “M Sense” and conventional cookware. The cookware is manufactured by Kuhn Rikon, a Swiss family business specialising in premium cookware. System intelligence is developed at Miele in Bünde, North Rhine-Westphalia. “With the M Sense cookware and the KM 8000 hobs, we are creating a system that not only simplifies the cooking process, but actively accompanies it – intelligently, intuitively, and integrated into the lifestyle of our customers”, says Dr Uwe Brunkhorst, Head of the Cooking business unit at Miele.
Even more support with additional Smart Extras**
The functions in the Miele app** will provide additional convenience and inspiration in future. FoodAssistant will help to find the right program for different foods and send it directly to the cookware. CookAssist will be available for complete dishes. The feature guides you step by step through tried-and-tested recipes that are precisely tailored to the M Sense cookware. The temperature and cooking time are automatically transferred to the cookware for maximum cooking reliability.
KM 8000: Variety in form and function – with an exclusive extra on the top model
In terms of design, the new generation of hobs sets new standards. The printing on the glass ceramic has been reduced to a minimum so that the hob harmonises visually when switched off and blends harmoniously into open-plan kitchens. In the top-of-the-range model, a discreet line of light provides a visual highlight when switched on, elegantly combining function and aesthetics. A voucher for a free M Sense pot and pan starter set is also included. A particularly practical feature for ceiling fans or downdraft hoods: They can be controlled directly via control elements on the hob. In addition, there are models with MattFinish – a matt black, scratch-resistant surface with an anti-fingerprint effect. The range includes hobs in 60, 80 and 90 cm widths, with defined zones or full-surface induction, frameless or with a stainless steel frame. Many models are “M Sense ready” and can be used with M Sense cookware.
The proven Con@ctivity function provides additional convenience: With networked appliances, the extractor hood reacts as soon as the hob is switched on or off, and automatically controls the ventilation power.
The launch for M Sense cookware and KM 8000 is scheduled for April 2026.

“M Sense” cookware: Nothing burns. Nothing boils over.
Incidents such as boiled-over pasta water or burnt steak are a thing of the past with M Sense. At IFA, Miele will present intelligent cookware with integrated touch controls and up to three temperature sensors. Combined with the new KM 8000-generation induction hobs, this creates a multi-patented system that automatically regulates cooking power for precise results and stress-free cooking. Steam drawer: baking, reheating, and steam cooking in one niche
With the steam drawer, Miele is presenting a world premiere at IFA – creating space for new possibilities in kitchen planning with cooking experiences at the highest level. Thanks to its minimalist design and height of just 14 centimetres, the drawer adapts to individual requirements, from urban living environments to open-plan kitchen concepts. Together with a combination oven with microwave, a unique 3-in-1 solution is created that combines baking, reheating, and steam cooking in one niche. Thanks to DualSteam technology and more than 100 automatic programmes on the appliance, vegetables, sous-vide, or everyday applications such as heating and defrosting are effortless. The capacity is sufficient for up to four people. Convenient details such as lid opening at the touch of a button and integration into the Miele app* make operation and control easier.
“The new steam drawer is our response to the growing demand for multifunctional solutions for kitchens with limited space”, says Dr Reinhard Zinkann. “In combination with a compact oven, it is possible to prepare entire menus in two separate cooking compartments with Miele’s renowned quality”. Press release no. 067/2025
Further highlights and innovations at IFA
Miele presented several new products at the IFA kick-off in July: the new downdraft extractor with integrated ambient lighting creates atmospheric accents in the kitchen, while the large-format MasterCool refrigerators set standards in convenience and design. A highlight in floor care: the cordless Triflex HX3 Plus Aqua converts from a standard vacuum cleaner to a wet cleaner in the blink of an eye thanks to the Aqua Twister Pro floor nozzle. Two functions in one appliance make everyday life so much easier and provide maximum flexibility.
Digitalisation, AI, and smart extras for greater convenience and safety
Digitalisation and AI are key drivers for greater convenience and efficiency in the home, and Miele is bringing this progress into the kitchen. With the “FoodView” feature in the new MasterCool refrigerators, users can keep an eye on the contents at all times. Several camera images taken when the door was last closed are provided via the Miele app*. This makes planning and spontaneous shopping easier, while also preventing food waste.
Artificial intelligence is used in a targeted way in the oven: Smart Food ID automatically recognises 50 dishes, adjusts the settings and takes over the preparation process, ensuring perfect results – especially when time is of the essence.
These innovations are complemented by additional smart functions in the Miele app, which acts as a central element connecting all appliances and services. For instance, CookAssist guides users through recipes step by step, and will soon be available with the new M Sense cookware and the Fire Pro IQ gas barbecue. The Consumption Dashboard provides transparent consumption data and helps customers make targeted use of resource-efficient programmes on washing machines and dishwashers. Regular software updates continuously expand the range of functions and ensure that the appliances will continue to evolve with the demands of everyday life.
From its product range to its circular trade fair stand, Miele brings sustainability to life
With its new Energy Heroes, Miele is demonstrating a clear commitment to sustainable innovation at IFA. Its washing machine model undercuts the top energy efficiency class A by 40%, and its dishwasher model by 10%. As such, it will showcase its most energy-efficient product range, which delivers a clear advantage in terms of energy costs.
What’s more, Miele’s trade fair presence is all about circularity: its resource-efficient stand is made of reusable materials, while the modular, lightweight design reduces transport and storage costs by 50%. And with only 150 appliances, the company is focusing on the essentials and significantly reducing its carbon footprint. “We are showcasing our holistic understanding of sustainability – from energy efficiency and longevity to circular solutions – in our product range and, this year, with a modular, multi-use trade fair stand,” says Rebecca Steinhage, Executive Director Human Resources and Corporate Affairs. “These efforts are a clear sign of our commitment to sustainability.”
Miele quality: 25-year guarantee on laundry care motors
Since the company was founded in 1899, the Miele brand has focused on manufacturing products of the highest quality and with an exceptionally long service life. Washing machines are tested for a service life of up to 20 years before they are launched on the market. As a clear commitment to quality, Miele will introduce the “Miele Motor Guarantee” – a 25-year guarantee on motors for washing machines and dryers – in Germany on 1 October 2025. Other countries will follow.
