MOC Simulation Services GmbH, based in Berlin, is a specialized engineering company focused on the development, construction, and prototyping of advanced simulation systems. With expertise in flight and driving simulators, the company also designs and manufactures dynamic and static steel structures, special-purpose machines, and precision mechanical components. MOC offers end-to-end services—from concept and design through to final assembly and commissioning—ensuring tailored, high-performance solutions for industrial, research, and training applications.

In the early 2021, backed on the first steps of Mixed Reality technology, MOC Simulation Services GmbH was awarded by TU Munich, to develop and manufactured the R&D simulator for future-oriented Urban Air Mobility. Building on this experience, MOC was contracted to deliver an engineering simulator for the eVTOL company ERC Systems GmbH became part of the R&D program for FH Aachen’s air taxi vision, Skycab. These projects laid the foundation for a close collaboration between MOC and TU München on the development of eVTOL training simulators, including the integration of MR-based training technologies by Michael Zintl.

At IFA NEXT, MOC will showcase its latest state-of-the-art MR software technology through a interactive eVTOL demo simulator—taking a step ahead of the competition.
At the helm of MOC’s innovation is Markus Lankes, Chief Innovation Officer and founder, with over 30 years of experience in simulation technology, supported by his highly skilled team. Together, they have shaped MOC into a fast-moving, solutions-driven company trusted worldwide. The MOC team has extensive expertise in prototyping and future-oriented flight training solutions. Backed by this innovative team, Markus was honored with the ‘Unternehmer der Zukunft’ award for his strong leadership and commitment to advancing simulation technology.

MR-Integrated eVTOL Simulator
After several years of development work, we are presenting a groundbreaking mixed reality flight simulation environment that takes today's pilot training to the next level for the first time at the MOC Simulation Services GmbH booth. The innovative system was developed by Michael Zintl and the Chair of Flight System Dynamics at TUM on a flight simulator developed jointly with MOC Simulation Services GmbH. Intensive fundamental studies, early collaboration with experienced pilots and flight instructors, and their practical requirements ensured from the start that a targeted, needs-based solution would be developed.

The technology showcased at IFA demonstrates a unified training approach that provides optimal support not only for pilots but also for flight instructors, enabling sustainable learning success. The modular structure of the user software offers maximum flexibility through compatibility with all common visualization environments, while highly precise and fully automated calibration algorithms create a seamless fusion of real cockpit hardware and virtual flight environments.

Particularly noteworthy is the innovative “chin window” solution (front, downward-facing viewing window) for helicopter simulators, which uses locally applied green screen technology to provide an artifact-free view through the cockpit window. Combined with dynamically simulated shadows in the cockpit, this sets a new standard in mixed reality simulation. The system is complemented excellently by specially developed functions for flight instructors and trainers, including innovative and spatially stabilized pointing tools, dynamic cockpit displays, and advanced eye tracking analyses that enable precise evaluation and targeted improvement of pilot skills.

The next steps in the development of the cooperative association are to expand the areas of application. The primary focus here is on LBA-approved training simulators for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft, as well as simulators for flight training.
