Im Jahr 1928, als die Welt im Umbruch war, saß ein Mann mit einem Kopf voller Ideen in seiner kleinen Werkstatt: Dipl.-Ing. Gustav Rommelsbacher. Was ihn antrieb? Mehr als Technik, es war Neugier, ein Gespür für das, was kommen würde. In Stuttgart entwickelte er seine ersten Lautsprecheranlagen – nicht einfach Geräte, sondern klangvolle Visionen ihrer Zeit.
Dann kam der Krieg. Und danach: ein Neuanfang.
Gustav Rommelsbacher ließ sich in Dinkelsbühl nieder – mit nichts als Know-how, Leidenschaft und dem Willen, Dinge möglich zu machen. In einer einfachen Garage baute er aus allem, was er auftreiben konnte, Geräte, die damals dringend gebraucht wurden – Heizstrahler, Bügeleisen, mobile Kochplatten. Die Marke robusta war geboren und mit ihr ein Name, der bald weit über Deutschland hinaus für Verlässlichkeit stand.

Das erste eigene Firmengebäude entstand aus massivem Bruchstein, so beständig wie die Werte, die es trug. Jahr für Jahr wurde erweitert, weitergedacht, weitergebaut. Aus einer Vision wurde ein Unternehmen. Und aus einer Garage eine Geschichte, die bis heute anhält.
