WiSA Technologies-powered Platin Audio soundbar now available
US-headquartered wireless sound technology provider WiSA Technologies through its WiSA Association subsidiary has announced the launch of member brand Platin Audio’s Milan 5.1.4, soundbar system. Now available for purchase in the United States, the new system is the first in the industry, according to WiSA, to leverage WiSA E wireless software.
A robust audio experience at a competitive price
The Milan 5.1.4 soundbar system supports ten audio channels, including four channels of up-firing Dolby Atmos audio, ensuring what WiSA is calling "a robust, high-fidelity audio experience that sets a new standard for wireless sound."
The new Platin Audio soundbar system is, the company claims, “a testament to cutting-edge audio engineering,” thanks to the integration of Dolby Atmos and the inclusion of two upfiring speakers in the front and two in the rear.
In addition to offering three-dimensional sound, the Platin Milan 5.1.4 soundbar system uses all the power of WiSA’s WiSA E, a software-based multichannel wireless audio technology designed to be implemented in soundbars, HDTVs and set-top boxes, and deliver crystal-clear uncompressed audio.

"We are thrilled for new and existing Platin Audio customers to experience the WiSA E difference. By coupling WiSA’s impressive WiSA E technology with Dolby Atmos, Platin Audio is delivering a truly unique and robust audio solution, setting a new standard for innovation and space-saving design,” said Tony Ostrom, President of WiSA. “WiSA E technology ensures crystal-clear, tightly synchronised, low latency audio delivery over its dedicated Wi-Fi network, elevating the wireless listening experience to amazing heights,” he continued.
The Platin Audio Milan 5.1.4 soundbar system, according to the firm, combines innovation, function, and affordability, making it capable of delivering advanced home entertainment audio content with the detail and spatial accuracy to replicate sensory experiences such as professional theatres, stadiums and concert halls while offering competitive price performance.
Managing wireless audio and communication between units
The Platin Audio Milan 5.1.4 is sold as a system package including the soundbar, along with a pair of surround speakers, and a subwoofer to allow for an immersive audio experience in spaces of all sizes.
Each component in the system -the soundbar, surround speakers and subwoofer- includes the WiSA DS wireless module and WiSA E software to manage all wireless audio and communication between each of the units. The components in the system work together to surround users with multiple channels of high-definition audio that fill their living rooms with immersive sound, without taking up a large amount of space.
In addition, the Platin Audio Milan 5.1.4 soundbar app for Android and iOS allows users to customise their audio experience to ensure the Milan 5.1.4 soundbar system is adapted to the space where it is being used and to each user’s specific listening preferences.
