Electrolux Group has always put consumers first, creating experiences that improve quality of life while advancing energy and water efficiency. Now the company is going further, integrating sustainability across the entire consumer journey, from purchase to product end-of-life. This session explores how consumer-centric innovation and circular models can preserve planetary resources and enable truly sustainable lifestyles, highlighting the need for industry-wide collaboration.

Putting consumer needs first has always been at the core of Electrolux Group. Our priority is to create and maintain a close connection with consumers, delivering consumer experiences that enhance their quality of life. Meanwhile, and over the past decades, the household appliance industry has made impressive progress in energy and water efficiency — proving that consumer driven innovation can deliver real climate impact. Today the industry stands at a new frontier: now, more than ever, consumers expect appliance manufacturers to drive sustainability and support them with sustainable practices and choices throughout the entire consumer journey. Sustainability and ‘putting the consumer first’ need to be fully integrated, and only by serving the consumer can we preserve the planet. As we prioritize human well-being and everyday experiences, we must also embrace advanced technologies and community collaboration to create better lifestyles and consumer experiences that are not only enjoyable but also truly sustainable. From purchases of the most sustainable products to service and repair, and product end of life, while addressing durability and the use — and reuse — of materials and resources. In this keynote, Electrolux Group CEO Yannick Fierling will share how the company has evolved over the past century, guided by its purpose to shape living for the better. He’ll explore how Electrolux Group is deepening its connection with consumers and sustainability across the entire journey — from purchase to product end-of-life — and how it’s taking bold responsibility even beyond the lifespan of its appliances. With finite planetary resources, the call to action is clear: we must work toward closing the loop. Given the challenges ahead, focus across the industry is essential to get the right regulatory conditions to make this possible. From sourcing sustainable materials and designing for durability to pioneering new recycling systems and circular business models, manufacturers must take the lead to building a truly circular and sustainable consumer experience.
