Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency

The Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (BIPA) is the largest IT/CT support organization in the southeastern region of Korea. It fosters the information and communications and cultural content industries in Busan—including AI, esports, the cloud, smart cities, and information security—thereby creating future growth engines for Busan’s digital economy.

① IT Industry Promotion

- Supports the growth of Busan-based companies by identifying AI and software convergence projects and promoting AX transformation of regional strategic industries, as well as hosting K-ICT Week
- Establishes ecosystems for national strategic technology sectors, such as quantum information technology and information security, and supports global competitiveness as a KOLAS-accredited testing institution
- Develops and operates ICT infrastructure to build a leading smart city
- Cultivates regional digital talent through demand-driven training programs and job fairs

② Content Industry Promotion

- Leads Busan as a “Content Industry City” by expanding creators and IP, fostering mid-sized enterprises, and supporting IT-based development
- Hosts G-STAR, the Busan Indie Connect Festival, and the Global Busan Webtoon Festival
- Promotes a healthy digital culture through the operation of the Game Over-Immersion Counseling Center
