Formularium Srl is an Italian innovative startup developing
next-generation botanical technologies for the health, beauty and wellness industries.
Our mission is to unlock the hidden value of natural resources by
transforming agricultural by-products into high-performance bioactive ingredients through proprietary extraction technologies and advanced formulation expertise.
We believe that the future of cosmetics, medical devices and
nutraceuticals will not be driven by synthetic innovation alone, but by the intelligent combination of biotechnology, sustainability and circular economy.
Formularium was created to bridge the gap between scientific
research and industrial application. Building on more than eighty years of family experience in pharmacy and over five decades in cosmetic formulation and manufacturing, we combine a strong industrial heritage with the agility and vision of a technology startup.
Our focus is the development of innovative natural bioactive
ingredients obtained from renewable botanical sources. By applying Ultrasound-Assisted Extraction (UAE), we maximize
the recovery of delicate phytocomplexes while preserving their biological activity, reducing energy consumption, minimizing solvent use and creating a significantly more sustainable production process than conventional extraction methods.
Rather than manufacturing commodities, Formularium develops
intellectual and technological assets that can be translated into multiple commercial applications across different industries. Our platform enables the creation of innovative active ingredients and finished formulations for cosmetics, intimate care, medical devices and nutraceutical products.
The scalability of our approach lies in the versatility of our
technology. The same extraction platform can generate new functional ingredients from different botanical matrices, opening opportunities for licensing, co-development, private label and proprietary consumer brands.
To validate our technology in the marketplace, we recently
launched Fermenta Botanica, our first proprietary
premium dermocosmetic brand. More than a cosmetic line, it represents a successful proof of concept, demonstrating our ability to transform scientific innovation into products capable of addressing emerging consumer needs with strong market differentiation.
Today, Formularium is entering its next stage of growth.

research and development, strengthen intellectual property, scale production capabilities and establish strategic international partnerships.
