Biho-II (with Hanwha Aerospace)
The Biho-II is a next-generation modular 8x8 wheeled self-propelled anti-aircraft gun system developed by Hanwha Aerospace. It is an export-oriented strategic air defense system that significantly enhances mobility and firepower by evolving the existing K30 Biho.
Key features include a wheeled chassis; by adopting an 8x8 wheeled armored vehicle chassis instead of the conventional tracked chassis, it improves road mobility and ease of maintenance.
For armament enhancement, it is equipped with 30mm or 40mm (CTA) autocannons and airburst rounds. It features a modular structure that allows for the mounting of surface-to-air missile launchers on side turrets as needed, enabling individualization according to the customer's requirements.
Equipped with the latest Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) high-performance radar and target detection and tracking equipment, its ability to counter low-altitude aerial threats, such as drones, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and fighter jets, has been improved.
