Ultimea X Pro
Ultimea is using IFA 2026 to showcase the Ultimea X Pro, an expandable wireless cinema system
designed for users who want the scale of a dedicated home theatre without the usual collection of receivers, speaker cables and complicated set-up procedures.
At the centre of the system is a 7.0.4-channel main unit, joined by four multi-directional wireless
surround speakers and support for up to four dual-12-inch wireless subwoofers. Depending on the configuration, the Ultimea X Pro can expand from 9.2.6 to 11.8.8 channels, creating sound across the front, sides, rear and overhead areas of the room.
That ability to grow is central to the concept. Rather than locking users into a single speaker
arrangement, the modular architecture allows additional speakers and subwoofers to be introduced according to room size and listening requirements. The system can identify expansion modules
and coordinate channel mapping, wireless synchronisation and calibration as the configuration develops.
It is an approach intended to sit between conventional soundbars and more complex
component-based home theatre installations. The former prioritise ease of use but generally offer limited professional capability and expansion, while the latter can require separate AV receivers, extensive cabling and
detailed manual adjustment. With the X Pro, Ultimea is looking to combine scalability with a more straightforward user experience.
