XREAL AURA is a sub-95g optical see-through XR headset built to make everyday spatial computing wearable rather than a seated, isolated experience. A dual-chip split-compute architecture separates processing by task: the XREAL X1S Spatial Coprocessor, embedded in the frame, handles low-latency spatial display and sensor processing locally, while an external Snapdragon Reality Elite unit manages heavier computation. This lets AURA support 6DoF positional tracking and hand tracking without a companion controller, and deliver a 70-degree field-of-view display without the weight typically required for that level of capability.
Running Google's Android XR operating system, AURA integrates Gemini AI directly on-device for real-time, multimodal, conversational interactions rather than relying solely on the cloud.
