Renewing the IFA–IEEE Consumer Technology Society Partnership

On September 5, 2026, representatives of IFA Berlin and the IEEE Consumer Technology Society (IEEE CTSoc) met at the historic Marshall House, located in the heart of the IFA exhibition grounds in Berlin, to reaffirm and renew their long-standing partnership.

The meeting brought together Tolga Arul (Technical Program Chair ICCE Berlin), Haozhan Gao (Senior Sales Manager Retail & Strategic Partnerships), Christian Gross (Regional Director EMEA IEEE CTSoc, Peter Zyprian (IFA Retail Ambassador), Leif Lindner (CEO IFA Management GmbH), Carsten Pinnow (General Chair ICCE-Berlin), Dirk Koslowski (Executive Director IFA Management GmbH) and Peter Siebert (AdCom Member and Distinguished Lecturer, IEEE Broadcast Technology Society BTS.

Since 2011, the partnership between IFA Berlin and IEEE CTSoc has created significant added value for both organizations. It connects the global consumer technology industry and marketplace represented by IFA with the scientific and engineering expertise of the IEEE community.

At the heart of this cooperation is ICCE-Berlin – the International Conference on Consumer Electronics, which has become the scientific and technical backbone of IFA.

ICCE-Berlin provides the platform where research, engineering, innovation and industry come together, creating a unique bridge between scientific progress and the technologies, products and solutions presented at IFA.
The renewal of the partnership in 2026 underlines the shared commitment of IFA and IEEE CTSoc to further strengthen this bridge and to jointly shape the future of consumer technology.
