Age Restrictions

For safety and legal reasons, anyone under the age of 16 will be denied entrance throughout the entire duration of the build-up and breakdown.

 

Alcohol Abuse & Drugs

The abuse of alcohol, drugs and other substances can affect work performance and safety. Any person found to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other substances, or who are (in the opinion of the organisers and their representatives) constituting danger to themselves or any other person at the venue, will be removed from the venue by security. Where necessary, further action will be taken to remedy the situation. The consumption of alcohol is permitted onsite only during the show open period, not during the build-up/breakdown. 

 

Animals

No animals are permitted on the exhibition grounds. 

 

Lighting in Hall

The exhibition hall lighting will be set at 50% throughout build and breakdown and the open period. 
If you require the lights above your stand to be switched off completely, please contact the IFA support team no later than one month in advance of the show to request.
 

 

Literature Distribution Off Your Stand

No promotional literature can be distributed or placed in public areas (including registration and feature areas) without a license from the organiser. If your materials are found to be distributed outside of your stand area they will be removed, and waste costs charged back to your company. 

 

Noise

IFA is committed to providing a respectful and appropriate working environment for everyone. We ask all exhibitors to be respectful of their neighbours and ensure that their ability to engage in regular levels of conversation is not impeded. Therefore, all exhibitors must keep any music, sounds, or noise emitted from their stand within reason. Everybody has a right to business meetings therefore we have set a decibel limit of 65 decibels. This will be monitored onsite at the event. 

 

Patents and Copyrights

The organiser reserves the right to exclude or reject both visitors and exhibitors from the exhibition hall, including anyone who (in the opinion of the Organiser) is promoting, selling, marketing, or exhibiting items or products that in any way copies or reproduces another product/item already being produced or manufactured by any other exhibitor or manufacturer. 

 

Public Address System

The public address system at the exhibition is for organiser's official announcements and emergency messages only.
It is NOT available for use by exhibitors or visitors under any circumstances. 

 

Smoking / E-cigarettes / Vaping

Smoking, E-cigarettes and Vaping are not permitted in any part of the venue, including on the loading bays. Please exit the venue and use the dedicated smoking areas provided. 

 

Storage

You are responsible for arranging the storage of your literature, packing cases, and boxes. All items must be stored within the confines of your stand. Fire regulations require that any items found outside your stand will be removed, as they will be deemed a fire hazard.

TV and Music licensing

It is your responsibility to obtain all the consents and licenses from the relevant authorities. 
According to § 15 and subsequent sections of German copyright law, dated 9.9.1965, GEMA approval is required to publicly play/perform music protected by copyright.
 
The fees which apply in order to be granted a license to make use of copyright and performance protection rights are scaled according to how music is played/performed and, where applicable, the area of the exhibition stand.
 
The amounts include all extras charged by the GVL (Collecting Society for Neighbouring Rights) and the VG Wort collecting society.
