High performance meets innovation: AMD returns to IFA
High-performance computing leader AMD to exhibit at IFA 2026 – Jack Huynh, AMD Senior Vice President, to deliver IFA Opening Keynote on the Innovation Stage

AMD is back on the IFA stage. From 4 to 8 September 2026, the high-performance computing leader will once again be taking part in the world’s largest event for consumer electronics, home appliances and future tech. With this move, IFA welcomes back one of the world’s leading players in high-performance computing, as AMD delivers full-stack AI solutions that provide the performance and scalability needed for the personal AI era of intelligent computing.

A special highlight of the event is the IFA opening keynote by Jack Huynh on the show's opening day. The senior vice president and general manager of the Computing and Graphics Group at AMD will speak on the Innovation Stage on Friday, September 4, 2026.

IFA opening keynote by Jack Huynh on the Innovation Stage

Jack Huynh, senior vice president and general manager of the Computing and Graphics Group at AMD, will deliver the IFA opening keynote, “The Era of Personal AI: The Future of Imagination,” on the IFA Innovation Stage.  Huynh will unveil AMD’s vision for the next era of computing, where AI transforms the relationship between people and technology and unlocks a new frontier of human imagination, creativity, and possibility.

As AI becomes more personal and seamlessly integrated into our lives, computing will evolve from something we use into something that works alongside us, helping us imagine, create, and achieve in ways once thought impossible.  Personal AI will empower people to explore new ideas, amplify creativity, and transform the way we work, play, and experience the world.

At AMD, Huynh leads strategy, engineering, and business across the PC, graphics, gaming, and semi-custom businesses

Beginning his career as a microprocessor design engineer, Huynh has spent more than 25 years helping define multiple eras of computing. He has led teams across CPUs, GPUs, PCs, and semi-custom silicon, including the custom silicon development behind multiple generations of Sony PlayStation, Microsoft Xbox, and Valve Steam Deck, helping power some of the world's most iconic gaming experiences.

Today, Huynh is advancing his vision for the next major shift in computing: Personal AI. By bringing together powerful local compute, open software ecosystems, and intelligent cloud services, he is defining a new model of computing where AI becomes personal, proactive, and seamlessly integrated into everyday experiences.

AMD brings computing, graphics and AI to the IFA

AMD’s return underscores the growing importance of computing and artificial intelligence for the consumer tech market. High-performance processors, graphics solutions and AI accelerators now form the technological foundation for numerous applications – from mobile computing and gaming, through content creation, to personalised and intelligent user experiences.

At IFA, these technologies are showcased in their real-world applications. Visitors can experience how computing power, graphics and AI are increasingly being integrated into everyday devices and digital applications, transforming the way people work, play, communicate and produce creative content.

“AMD’s return sends a strong signal to the IFA and to the international consumer tech industry. Few topics are currently shaping the development of modern devices as much as the interplay between high-performance computing, graphics and artificial intelligence. With AMD and Jack Huynh, we are bringing an important global perspective to the Innovation Stage,” says Leif Lindner, CEO of IFA Management GmbH.

“IFA is where the world’s boldest ideas become real. Every great era of computing has changed what people can do. The next era will change what people believe is possible. We are approaching a defining moment where AI will move beyond the screen and into the fabric of everyday life, becoming a powerful extension of human creativity, curiosity, and ingenuity. Personal AI will help people turn imagination into reality and unlock new possibilities that were once beyond reach,” said Jack Huynh, senior vice president and general manager of the Computing and Graphics Group at AMD.

A stage for the next technological leaps

The Innovation Stage serves as IFA’s central platform for groundbreaking keynotes, major announcements, and new ideas. There, international leaders from the technology sector offer insights into developments that are transforming markets, products, and people's everyday lives.

With Jack Huynh’s keynote, IFA places the future of computing, graphics, gaming, and AI-powered devices at the heart of its program. At the same time, AMD’s participation offers trade visitors, media representatives, retail partners, and tech enthusiasts the opportunity to learn firsthand about current technological developments and future prospects.
