IFA Opening Keynote 2026 by AMD: The Era of Personal AI

Jack Huynh showed how Personal AI is transforming the relationship between people and technology and opens new possibilities

IFA Berlin, the world’s largest event for Consumer Electronics, Home Appliances and Future Tech, opened the first official day of IFA 2026 with AMD’s Opening Keynote, spotlighting the growing importance of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing for the consumer technology market. On the Innovation Stage, Jack Huynh, Senior Vice President and General Manager of AMD's Computing and Graphics Group, showed how Personal AI is transforming the relationship between people and technology and opening new opportunities in everyday life and the workplace. Huynh offered insights into the next era of computing, in which artificial intelligence is becoming more personal and proactive.

“Jack Huynh illustrated how artificial intelligence is now shaping the entire technology market. AI is making technology more personal, more intuitive, and an increasingly natural part of our everyday lives. The keynote compellingly demonstrated the additional potential unlocked when powerful hardware and intelligent applications work together,” says Leif Lindner, CEO of IFA Management GmbH.

AI expands human potential

In the IFA Opening Keynote, Jack Huynh explained that computers will not only become more powerful but will also understand people better: what they are doing, what they want to achieve and what matters at that particular moment. They will be able to work alongside people, adapt to their needs, and help turn an intention into a tangible outcome.

Using examples from research, healthcare, and mobility, Huynh demonstrated the potential of AI technology. In science, it is already helping to advance cancer research, develop new energy concepts, and accelerate discoveries. Much like electricity, AI is beginning to become a natural part of everyday life.

AI is also opening up new possibilities in the workplace: it reduces repetitive tasks and facilitates collaboration across different areas of a business. Its purpose is to complement human creativity, judgement and expertise. Open infrastructures and consistent software make it possible to develop and test AI applications securely and deploy them across an organisation. “It was an honor to open IFA and share my vision for the Era of Personal AI and the future of imagination. We are entering a new era of computing, where AI will change not only how we use technology, but what we can imagine, create, and accomplish with it. That is what excites me most about this moment. Personal AI has the potential to make technology more intuitive, more capable, and more human, giving each of us new ways to turn our ideas into reality.  We are only at the beginning of this journey, and I believe the greatest breakthroughs will come when technology expands not only what we can do, but what we dare to imagine,” says Jack Huynh, Senior Vice President and General Manager, Computing and Graphics Group at AMD.
