IFA Media Days 2026: Global brands show how technology is shaping everyday life
The focus is on connected solutions and AI in everyday life, as well as new home, mobility and audio technologies
On the second day of IFA Media Days, IFA Berlin, the world’s largest event for Consumer Electronics, Home Appliances and Future Tech, once again brings together leading international brands and media from around the world. In the morning, global exhibitors including AEG, Anker, Dreame, Liebherr, Shokz, Xiaomi and XPENG presented new products and technologies for connected everyday life.
“Our exhibitors make IFA a global stage for product innovations. On the second day of IFA Media Days, they demonstrated the breadth of innovation today – from smart homes and new audio experiences to AI that supports people in their everyday lives. For consumers, tangible benefits are becoming increasingly important: how much time does a product save, and how does it make everyday life easier? That is the benchmark innovation must meet today,” says Leif Lindner, CEO of IFA Management.
From smart homes to mobility: Global brands present AI-powered technologies, connected ecosystems and innovative consumer products
Opening the second day of IFA Media Days, Anker announced that it will bring its various brands together under a single umbrella brand. Under the motto “Ultimate, Unified”, Anker is pursuing a vision of a connected ecosystem in which AI intelligently links different devices and applications. On-device AI plays a central role by processing data directly on devices, enabling faster, more reliable and more privacy-friendly applications. Anker also announced the opening of its first dedicated store in Berlin on 5 September.
Xiaomi is making its IFA debut this year, presenting more than 380 products across an extensive exhibition space. Under the theme “The emerging wave of AI”, the company is showcasing its largest-ever “Human × Car × Home” ecosystem, using AI to connect smartphones, intelligent vehicles and smart-home solutions.
XPENG is bringing the future of mobility to IFA 2026. From a new intelligent electric vehicle and the IRON humanoid robot to a modular flying car, the company demonstrates how AI can reshape mobility on the road, in the air and in everyday life.
Dreame is represented in two halls at IFA, demonstrating the growing breadth of its portfolio. Alongside intelligent cleaning and smart-home solutions, Dreame is presenting beauty and personal-care products as well as solutions for pet owners, bringing the different areas together in its vision of a smarter, more connected everyday life.
“Every home is different – and so is every challenge. At Dreame, we develop cleaning solutions tailored to precisely these individual needs,” says Sean Chen, Managing Director of Dreame Technology Western Europe.
AEG is placing the kitchen and home of tomorrow centre stage at IFA. Highlights include the first AEG hob with a specially developed OnePot Pasta function, which automates key steps in preparing pasta. The brand is also presenting new floor-care and laundry-care solutions, along with a new kitchen Design Collection. Under the motto “The Art of Hosting”, AEG brings its innovations together in a holistic experience centred on cooking, living and entertaining – with the aim of making everyday life easier, more intuitive and more enjoyable.
Liebherr-Hausgeräte is presenting new refrigeration and freezing solutions that combine greater storage capacity, intelligent features and high energy efficiency. The focus is on new XL and XXL built-in appliances as well as French-door models. New SmartDevice app features also provide additional options for wine storage and energy efficiency, together with further intelligent services. Liebherr is also showcasing a new intelligent technology designed to optimise freezer operation and further enhance efficiency and convenience.
Shokz and NielsenIQ reveal new audio trends: Open-ear goes mainstream as practical AI gains importance
Shokz put the future of open-ear audio centre stage at IFA and, together with NielsenIQ, presented a global consumer study involving more than 5,000 respondents. The findings show that open-ear audio is evolving from a sports product into an “all-day companion” and increasingly entering the mass market. Alongside sound quality, comfort, awareness of one’s surroundings and versatility are becoming ever more important. Shokz also outlined the next stage of development: AI is set to turn headphones into a more personal, hands-free interface for everyday life, for example through real-time translation and AI assistants. According to the study, the decisive factor is not the number of AI features, but their tangible value for consumers.
“Technology does not determine the next trend – people do. Increasingly, it is about quality rather than quantity. People want practical support, not simply more technical features,” says Leon Du, Brand Director at Shokz.
