IFA 2026 Merch Drop: Official Launch of the New IFA x Anker Collection
New IFA merch collection combines Berlin streetwear and design history – official IFA merch launch at the new Anker Store in Berlin

IFA Berlin, the world’s largest event for consumer electronics, home appliances and future tech, is today officially launching the new IFA Merchandise Collection 2026 in collaboration with Anker. The launch will be marked by a party for invited guests at the new Anker Store on Kurfürstendamm in Berlin.

The Funk-Otto takes centre stage in the urban capsule collection. With the limited-edition IFA merch collection, the historic IFA mascot is given a new lease of life and becomes an eye-catching feature on T-shirts, hoodies and accessories.

A piece of IFA history you can wear

The ‘Funk-Otto’ was designed in the 1970s by graphic artist and designer Helmut Lortz and has been one of the IFA’s most iconic figures ever since. The motif has been consistently developed further for the new 2026 collection. The striking chrome look serves as a visual anchor for the entire collection, linking the IFA’s design history with the new streetwear aesthetic. Instead of classic trade fair merchandise, the result is a collection that brings together the history of the IFA, Berlin streetwear culture, AI and the people behind the IFA.

IFA merchandise featuring Berlin, but without the clichés

Berlin also plays a central role in the collection, albeit without the usual landmarks. The capital is embodied in the look itself: minimalist, direct and urban. IFA is also taking a different approach with the campaign for the collection. The people in front of the camera are not professional models, but members of the company’s own team.

The campaign images are based on real portraits, which were then further developed using artificial intelligence and transformed into a unique aesthetic. The use of AI follows the clear objective of expanding creative possibilities. Artificial intelligence was thus utilised as an additional creative tool in the process, enabling the creation of a new visual world for the IFA campaign from real photographs.

“The new IFA Merch Collection brings together different worlds: IFA’s past and present, fashion and function, real photography and AI, the trade fair and Berlin’s subculture. The collection demonstrates that innovation has long since extended beyond products to encompass design, culture and creative processes,” says Leif Lindner, CEO of IFA Management GmbH.

IFA x Anker: limited-edition launch

Even before the trade fair begins, the IFA will be celebrating the official launch of the 2026 Merch Collection on Friday 28 August at the new Anker Store on Berlin’s Kurfürstendamm – together with invited creators, partners and other guests from the IFA community.

This is Anker’s second year as part of the IFA Merch Story. As a leading brand for innovative charging, audio and smart home solutions, Anker stands for technological innovation, practical design and the fusion of functionality and lifestyle – values that also define IFA as the world’s leading platform for consumer technology. This makes Anker the ideal partner for bringing IFA’s innovative spirit to life. IFA and Anker are showcasing the complete IFA Merch Collection 2026. The spotlight will also be on an exclusive release: the limited-edition IFA x Anker collaboration T-shirt – a jointly designed T-shirt.

At IFA, the collaboration T-shirt can be won from Friday to Sunday at the IFA x Anker afterwork raffles at the exhibition.

From 4 to 8 September 2026, the new IFA collection will be available at the central IFA Merch Store in Hall 19. From T-shirts and hoodies to bandanas, visitors can pick up an IFA souvenir here. IFA merchandise will also be on sale in the IFA Sommergarten.
