Jan Koch is the host of the WDR news podcast 0630, where every morning he and his colleagues present the day’s top stories. Since the podcast launched nearly five years ago, he has been covering current political and social developments. As an editor in the WDR newsroom, he also serves as a domestic correspondent for tagesschau, the flagship news program of ARD.
In addition to 0630 and his reporting work for tagesschau, Jan co-created the documentary podcast CUT with other colleagues. The first season, Das Silvester, das uns verfolgt (The New Year’s Eve That Haunts Us), earned the team the German Radio Award.
