Jason Chen joined Acer in 2014 as Corporate President and CEO, playing a pivotal role in driving the company’s transformation and expansion into new business areas. Since 2017, he has served the company as Chairman and CEO, continuing to foster Acer’s growth and innovation.
Chen was named an Industrial Technology Research Institute Laureate in 2024, which honors industry leaders and professionals for their exceptional contributions to their fields and enriching public welfare. In academia, he is an adjunct professor rank specialist at the National Taiwan University.
Before joining Acer, Chen held key positions at TSMC from 2005, starting as Vice President of Corporate Development and later serving as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing from 2008.
From 1991 to 2005, Chen enjoyed a 14-year career at Intel, where he held various sales and marketing roles in growing capacity. His last position was as the Corporate Vice President of the Sales and Marketing Group based in the U.S. headquarters. Prior to Intel, Chen worked at IBM Taiwan from 1988 to 1991.
Chen graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Management at Taiwan’s National Cheng Kung University. In addition, he holds an MBA degree from the University of Missouri.
