Jos Bruins

Jos Bruins is an expert on standardization. The Thread Group works to develop standards to make the Internet of Things (IoT) a reality in the home. Currently based on established standards including IEEE 802.15.4, IETF IPv6 and 6LoWPAN. Thread leverages existing, proven wireless technologies to create a networking protocol that can advance and accelerate adoption of the Internet of Things, specifically in the connected home. The founding members (Yale Security, Silicon Labs, Samsung Electronics, Nest Labs, Freescale® Semiconductor, Big Ass Fans and ARM) have been joined by Apple, Google, NXP, Siemens, ASSA Abloy, Qualcomm, Lutron, Amazon and others.
