First impressions, Future Visions: Media Days kick off IFA 2025
Media Days Review
You are here – and so is the world. IFA 2025 has begun, and the stage is set for exhibitors to showcase their flashiest technologies. Before trade visitors and the public arrived, international journalists gathered to get an exclusive first look. In the late-summer sun of Berlin, anticipation built as visitors from across the world descended on the city’s vast exhibition centre.
The IFA opening press conference sketched out what lies ahead: shifting markets, new consumer habits and a programme packed with highlights. “We have more people, more exhibitors than before,” said Leif Lindner, CEO of IFA Management GmbH, underscoring the scale of this year’s event. Siemens spoke of “intelligence that delights”, Bosch presented its playful “Power House” and Miele unveiled the next generation of connected cooking. Meanwhile, Acer demonstrated how technology can empower every aspect of life. They’re just a glimpse of the many brands bringing their latest innovations to IFA in the coming days.
The common thread? Technology is about lifestyle. Design, sustainability and smart ideas all come together at IFA. As Dr. Sara Warneke (Managing Director of GFU, brand owner of IFA and shareholder of IFA Management) put it, the fair is an “innovation platform of tomorrow.” And with Berlin as the backdrop, it’s the perfect place to experience what the future feels like.
