Alex Yang

Yi (Alex) Yang is the co-founder, CFO, and chief operating officer of the company. He has played a key role in Tuya's growth since its early stages, contributing to funding, investor relations, and strategic direction. Mr. Yang brings extensive experience in operational leadership, with expertise in both business and financial management. Before co-founding the company, he served as a senior expert at Alibaba Group from April 2011 to May 2015, where he was responsible for developing and managing business opportunities across multiple projects, including mobile payments within Alibaba’s O2O business and Alibaba Cloud. He earned a bachelor's degree in international business and economics from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in the PRC in July 2004.
