Since 2013, João Martins has served as editor-in-chief of audioXpress, the leading US-based magazine and website dedicated to audio electronics, product development, and design. He also acts as international editor for Voice Coil, the premier periodical for the loudspeaker industry.
With more than 30 years of experience covering audio and video technology—including broadcast, film, computer graphics, and music—João founded and edited several leading publications in Portuguese and Spanish. Fluent in French as well, he brings a broad, international perspective to the industry and its many verticals. A marketing and communications specialist who has worked at the intersection of media and technology for over three decades, João began his career as a musician and studied visual arts and cinema before launching his own (short-lived) advertising agency. After holding marketing and sales roles in film, television, radio, and professional audio, he transitioned full-time to magazine publishing, where he has since led editorial projects across Europe, Latin America, and the United States.
