Thomas Kakareko

Thomas Kakareko is part of a new generation of photographers who came of age with social media. He moves effortlessly between mobile street photography and more complex, composed imagery. His visual style is defined by dark, almost monochromatic tones punctuated by vibrant color accents that create striking contrasts.

Early on, he recognized the potential of digital photography and emerging media. In addition to his work behind the camera, he co-founded one of Europe’s first influencer marketing agencies. For over a decade, the Berlin-based artist has been sharing his work online and is now considered one of Germany’s most prominent photographers, with nearly a quarter of a million followers - even though he prefers to stay behind the scenes.
