Weldon Kennedy is Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Copper, the company behind the world’s first battery-equipped induction range designed to electrify existing homes and multifamily housing without costly electrical upgrades. He leads partnerships and market development to lower barriers to decarbonization at scale. His work is grounded in the belief that “the choice to decarbonize should be obvious,” achieved by delivering products that make clean energy easy to access while improving everyday life.

At Copper, Weldon has collaborated closely with the Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator and mission-driven housing partners on pilots such as the Esperanza Community Housing project in Los Angeles, demonstrating how innovative appliances and cross-sector partnerships can unlock equitable pathways to electrifying buildings.

A social campaigner and communicator, Weldon is motivated by fairness, justice, sustainability, and equality. His prior work includes roles at Change.org and co-founding Enda Sportswear, with experience building mission-driven organizations across the U.S., Europe, and East Africa.
