The Algorithmic Shopper: When Your Next Customer Is an AI Agent
The Algorithmic Shopper: When Your Next Customer Is an AI Agent
A working session for retailers and suppliers on what changes when an AI agent, rather than a person, does the choosing. It covers the theory of the Shopper Schism, an anonymized case study of a European specialist retailer whose storefront was open to its customers and closed to machines, and the three tests an agent applies to any brand: existence, authority and reliability. Participants run a live check on brands they carry during the session, and leave with the fixes that take days, not months.
