Paul F. Accornero is the founder of The AI Praxis and the architect of the Shopper Schism, the structural separation of the consumer who uses a product from the AI agent that now evaluates, selects and buys it. He was the first to define agentic commerce as an academic discipline, and his frameworks include Agent Intent Optimisation and Algorithmic Readiness. His paper naming the Shopper Schism has been published in Harvard Business Review, Forbes, UC Berkeley California Management Review Insights, and he ranks in the top 2 percent of authors on SSRN by downloads. His book, The Algorithmic Shopper, will be published by St. Martin's Press in April 2027. He is a guest lecturer at Harvard's Division of Continuing Education and a former Group Chief Commercial Officer in global consumer goods, where he led a multi-billion-euro business across more than 120 markets. The Shopper Schism was the subject of a marketing feature in the August-September 2026 print issue of both Forbes Mexico and Forbes Centroamerica, written with Giuseppe Stigliano.
