Andreas Enslin

Andreas Enslin studied Industrial Design in Munich and founded his own design studio, conceptform, in 1983 while still a student. Initially working with two partners, he developed technically sophisticated products for clients including Krinner, Dr. Mach, Merck, Rodenstock, Siemens, and Ytong AG. From 1999 to 2004, the studio also ran a division focused on creating websites for companies, institutions, associations, and consultants. Parts of conceptform were sold in 2001, and Enslin ended his design work to pursue the next step in his career.
As Vice President Design at Grohe AG, he shaped the brand’s design identity until 2004, when the company was sold to TPG and Credit Suisse.
Since 2005, he and his team have been responsible for the product design and user experience (UX/UI) of the Miele brand. As Vice President Design, he leads the Miele Design Center and its 50-member team, which is now regarded as one of the world’s leading in-house design units.
Andreas Enslin is a co-founder of the Universal Home industry network and served for many years as Vice President of the German Association of Industrial Designers (VDID). He is also a member of the advisory board for Product Development and Project Management at the Association of German Engineers (VDI). Additionally, he is actively involved in the German Innovation Summit, a member of CIMT, and until 2024 represented the VDID on matters of AI and digitalisation at the German Cultural Council.
