Dr. Stefan Breit, born 1967, has been Executive Director responsible for technology with the Miele Group since December 1, 2016. He began his career in industry in 1999 with the electronics and mechatronics specialist Kostal in Lüdenscheid, where he most recently headed the tooling and production equipment department. Previously, Dr. Breit studied Mechanical Engineering at the RWTH Technical University in Aachen (majoring in Production Technology) and later received a doctorate in engineering. He joined Miele in 2007, first working in the Bielefeld plant, where a year later he became director of the domestic dishwasher division, and in 2009 Plant Manager. In May 2015, he relocated to Miele's Gütersloh production plant where he assumed the same position, before he became Executive Director Technology. Stefan Breit is active in various industrial committees and working groups. For example, he has been chairman of “it's OWL” cluster board since 2021.
