Thomas Riedel is a freelance tech journalist, podcast producer and presenter based in Cologne. His previous roles have included positions at deutsche-startups.de and Digitale Leute, amongst others. He currently produces and hosts Germany’s largest metaverse podcast, “Spatial Realities”, as well as organising the largest XR meet-up in North Rhine-Westphalia. In 2024, on Bloggerkonferenz.de, he launched a trial initiative on the topic of blogging – an online mini-BarCamp – together with Daniela Sprung and Jan-Paul Laarmann, which was well received. As a speaker on the topics of the metaverse, start-ups and digitalisation, Riedel regularly appears on podcasts, at meet-ups and conferences, and as an expert on live TV.
