IFA 2026 surpasses previous year's figures and brings future technologies to life – more visitors, more exhibitors, more AI, and more robotics than ever before
IFA Berlin, the world’s largest event for consumer electronics, home appliances, and future tech, reports a successful outcome. With 240,000 visitors from 155 countries and over 2,000 exhibitors, IFA 2026 surpassed the previous year’s figures and strengthened its position as a global platform for technology, trade, media, culture, and politics. Over the course of five days, IFA brought key technology trends and innovations to life at the Berlin exhibition grounds.
IFA Berlin is demonstrating how AI and connected technologies are transforming everyday life at home and in the garden. Intelligent kitchen systems take individual needs into account, household robots perform increasingly complex tasks, and smart solutions enable the more efficient use of energy and resources. With the Outdoor Cooking & Gardening show area, IFA is consistently extending smart living beyond the home and onto the lawn.
IFA Berlin is showcasing the trends set to shape the future of content production and the creator economy on the IFA Creator Stage throughout the event. The focus is on AI-powered workflows, new social media formats, professional production technologies and sustainable business models for creators. IFA Berlin once again brought together technology, music, and pop culture this year. In the IFA Sommergarten, visitors enjoyed sold-out concerts by BUNT. and Ikkimel & Friends. Meanwhile, the IFA Podcast Days are bringing successful formats from the worlds of business, politics, technology, science, and entertainment to life on stage. Additional live podcasts focusing on AI, science, and technology are scheduled for this afternoon and tomorrow, Monday. In doing so, IFA creates unique experiences, reaches young audiences, and unites culture and technology.
IFA Berlin is showcasing the full spectrum of the latest developments in robotics. Humanoid robots are dancing and performing backflips on the runway, while autonomous machines compete against each other in football. Physical AI could also support people with physically demanding tasks in the future and help ease their workload. Experts discussed, for example, how robots could learn to understand families’ eating and cooking habits.
IFA Berlin demonstrates how AI is evolving from an isolated feature into an integrating layer of everyday life. Following numerous exhibitor press conferences during the IFA Media Days, the event continues with keynotes, panel discussions, and showcases. Haier, TCL, Hisense, SEVERIN, and Beurer are presenting new solutions and trends for the connected home. The focus is on applications that make devices more intuitive to control, handle routines in the background, and save users time. Additionally, Womanizer is highlighting the intersection of technology, health, and well-being.
The winners of the 2026 IFA Innovation Awards have been announced: Anker, Insta360 and LG Electronics have been awarded the three main prizes in the international awards programme. In addition, IFA recognised winners in 13 further categories spanning the entire spectrum of consumer electronics, home appliances and future tech. For the first time, the winners of the IFA Innovation Awards were honoured at a dedicated awards ceremony held live at IFA.
IFA Berlin opened the first official day of IFA 2026 with AMD’s Opening Keynote, spotlighting the growing importance of artificial intelligence and high-performance computing for the consumer technology market. On the Innovation Stage, Jack Huynh, Senior Vice President and General Manager of AMD's Computing and Graphics Group, showed how Personal AI is transforming the relationship between people and technology and opening new opportunities in everyday life and the workplace. Huynh offered insights into the next era of computing, in which artificial intelligence is becoming more personal and proactive.
Tonight, IFA Berlin and GFU Home & Consumer Tech hosted the IFA Opening Night at the ICC Berlin building. Representatives from politics and business were among the guests. Political guests included Mayor and Senator for Economic Affairs, Energy, and Public Enterprises, Franziska Giffey, Raed Saleh, Chair of the SPD Parliamentary Group in the Berlin House of Representatives, and Jörg Stroedter, Deputy Chair of the SPD Parliamentary Group and Member of the Berlin House of Representatives. Also in attendance were, amongst others, Dr Silke Launert, Parliamentary State Secretary for Research, Technology and Space, and Kirstin Bauch, District Mayor of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and Head of the Department of Finance, Human Resources and Economic Development.
On the second day of IFA Media Days, IFA Berlin once again brings together leading international brands and media from around the world. In the morning, global exhibitors including AEG, Anker, Dreame, Liebherr, Shokz, Xiaomi and XPENG presented new products and technologies for connected everyday life.
IFA Berlin has announced that Luciano has cancelled his performance at the IFA Sommergarten, which was scheduled for Friday 4 September 2026. The Berlin rapper’s announced concert will be cancelled without a replacement. The cancellation applies exclusively to Luciano’s announced performance on 4 September 2026. IFA Management deeply regrets the cancellation of the concert.
IFA Berlin opens its doors for the IFA Media Days ahead of the official start of the show. At the IFA Opening Press Conference, Leif Lindner, CEO of IFA Management, focused on the rapid development of artificial intelligence and robotics and their impact on the economy, society and everyday life. Concluding the conference, Carine Chardon, Managing Director of GFU Consumer & Home Electronics GmbH, presented global developments and trends in the technical consumer goods industry.
