Tom Lange

Tom Lange is a Partner at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in Hamburg and part of BCG&rsquo;s global Circular Economy team. He advises companies, particularly in the consumer and retail sectors, on sustainability, circularity, sourcing, supply chains and business model transformation. <br />A key focus of his work is how circularity can be integrated into business models and operations in a way that is commercially viable and scalable. His work spans a broad range of circular approaches, from new business models and recycling and reuse systems to resource efficiency, sustainable supply chains and emissions reduction. He supports companies from strategic direction through implementation. <br />Tom has been with BCG since 2015. During this time, he also worked with OpenSC on technology-enabled transparency and more sustainable supply chains for consumer products and agriculture. <br />His academic background is in climate physics. During his studies, he gained research experience at institutions including the Leibniz Institute of Atmospheric Physics and the German Aerospace Center (DLR). This scientific perspective continues to shape his approach: combining environmental impact with commercial viability and practical implementation.
